ONE HULL partners and projects are to come together to host a special 'Market Place' event within City Hall and in the vicinity of Queen Victoria Square in Hull.

On the day, local people will be able to get:
Inside City Hall, health officers are at hand to give advice or further information on city-wide support networks. There will be projects offering skills, training and careers advice – as well as work placements with local firms. ONE HULL supported schemes offering training opportunities and advice include GROW, Latitude, Probe and Cityworks.
Other topics covered on the day include volunteering opportunities, small grants funding, and direction on people wanting to work with young children, as well as advice on parenting and how to save energy at home.
People are also being encouraged to have there say on Hull’s future - with all names on the day going forward into a draw to win a Wii Console and Wii Fit.
The event will be attended and supported by ONE HULL partners such as Hull City Council and Humberside Police, as well as representatives from the business, voluntary and community sectors, such as Goodwin Development Trust and Cat Zero.
Interactive stalls include a smoothie-making fitness bike, Wii Fit and a digital ageing machine, which lets smokers see how they will look if they don’t kick the habit.
On Queen Victoria Square, Citysafe, NHS Hull and Humberside Fire and Rescue Service outreach teams will be on hand; there will also be an interactive car, providing people with an opportunity to virtually experience a road traffic collision and the consequences of driving irresponsibly.
Local businesses, as well as organisations from the voluntary and community sectors are also being encouraged to attend to see how they get involved to help create a better City.
The event kicks off at 10.30am and finishes at 3pm. Please find the attached PDF to help highlight the event.
