Riverside is made up of three electoral wards; Drypool, Myton and St. Andrew’s stretching from Garden Village and Victoria Dock in the East, towards Witham, across the City Centre, lower Beverley Road and Spring Bank, across St Georges Road and Dairycoates to Hawthorne Avenue in the West.
The area takes in the City Centre, the majority of the Holderness Road and Hessle Road shopping areas, the whole of the Spring Bank shopping area, Kingston Retail Park and incorporates the lower River Hull Corridor, Ferensway and the Transport Interchange development site, the Victoria Dock and Marina redevelopments and the millennium project The Deep at Sammy’s point.
Riverside has a diverse mix of retail, commercial and older and developing industrial sectors, particularly in the Drypool and St. Andrew’s Wards. The area has the most ethnic diverse population in the City.
