The West Area covers three electoral wards – Boothferry, Derringham and Pickering. The area is home to Hull’s Costello Athletics Stadium on Anlaby Park Road North, the park and ride service on Priory Park and a large park on Pickering Road. Shopping areas include Spring Bank West and part of Hessle Road. There is also a strong business presence in the area with over fifty businesses on the Wiltshire Road Industrial Estate and Birds Eye on Hessle Road.
